Doctor Who Part III

You know what?!

Can I just say for a moment that I love the Science Fiction TV Show Doctor Who?!

It's crazy how the show can really portray things that are a reality in your life.

  • SPOILERS -

So – I was watching the episode titled “Daleks in Manhattan” - and there was one very powerful line that was said – and even before the guy said it – I was already thinking it.

Solomon asks the Doctor why people can build the Empire State Building, which will be the tallest building in the world when completed, when there is a Hooverville in midtown Manhattan.

Yes – how was it possible that someone or some people had enough money to build a huge building during the Great Depression. Good question indeed. Have you ever thought to ask yourself this question?

It's obvious – someone was keep money for themselves – but perhaps there was a further agenda that wasn't shared with people – other than a select few.

This – is where we actually move to a previous episode – titled “Gridlock” .

In “Gridlock” – it would seem to be that this is where it's explained to an extent.

Here we have the Doctor going to visit a planet in the future that Human beings will move to once our earth is no longer inhabitable. On this new planet called “New Earth” - yes there is a New York City – it's actually called New New York – and there's all of that. So – people drive there cars on the “motorway” which is actually an underground tunnel. The issue is this tunnel isn't moving.

Well – rather vehicles aren't moving on this motorway. People had been travelling on the motorway for over 20 years – some of their children were born on the motorway.

The Doctor comes along and starts asking a few critical questions – like “in all your years in the motorway have you ever seen a police car? Ambulance? Any form of Emergency Vehicle?”

This upset the people – as the answer was obviously a no – but they never questioned further than that. This was upsetting to them because they wasted their lives on a motorway and there was no way out of the motorway – don't ask me how, but there were on ramps, but never an off-ramp as they were closed.

This obviously caused the motorway to fill with gas fumes and was actually feeding an alien beast below.

Nobody bothered to ask questions – just that there was a rumour that you never wanted to go on the “Fast lanes” as people never made it alive. You were safer in the slow lanes and that meant travelling 5 miles in 12 years or something like that.

A system that wasn't working – yet nobody sought an answer. People were able to communicate to one another – but again, nobody ever wondered where the traffic jam was starting or if people were getting out of the motorway – apparently there was an accident that caused the hold up – apparently there was going to be a 6 line expansion – things that were never happening and people never bothered to question.

So – it takes an outsider – The Doctor comes along, and starts asking questions – and opens up the Motorway roofing system to allow people to get out of the Motorway and to safety.

The Doctor frees the people from their slavery of what the Government once put in place. The Doctor set the people free and be able to move on and about their life.

An outsider did this. An outsider set people free. The Government did not. Does this sound familiar?

Does this correlate to the Daleks in Manhattan? Obviously there's something going on – the problem is people never ask questions, and when they do it's deemed “too sensitive for the public to be aware” or it's protected for a reason of “National Security”. People then accept that answer and never know what's going on.

This – is probably the big reason why the Empire State building was built in the middle of the Great Depression – yet people don't ask questions. It's deemed acceptable – yet we often complain about how we struggle in this life.

The questions then start by asking this question? Why are you struggling?
Do you have to pay bills?
Do you have to pay taxes?
Do you have to pay rent?
Do you have to pay for all this stuff?
Do you have to go to school to get a job?
Do you have to go to University to get a good paying job?

Interesting eh? Who implemented a lot of these things?

Now – who do we need to resolve them? I don't think we need an outsider. The reason for this is because the Doctor always takes with him a Companion. The interesting thing is a large majority of the Doctor's companions are human. All I'm saying here is we just need an outsider influence – but WE ourselves are able to resolve this problem.

The interesting part of “Gridlock” - is that the Government and Senate room – was just a room of dead dry bones. The government had long been dead.

V for Vendetta....

Recently – I just re-watched the movie 'V for Vendetta' – and truly it's amazing how if you go back and watch it you see how it relates that much more to our current world and the way the World Order is run.

There are several quotes throughout the movie I just find amazing – and I'm sure there are many people who either miss it – or don't catch the reference.

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.
    - V

This quote is probably one of the most famous and most popular. Now this isn't where it ends – but this is simply an introduction to how it all ties in.

I say this – because it seems that many people are afraid of their government. What if I were to tell you that your Government has access to healthier ways of life – healthier ways of living and either doesn't pay for it – or pays less for those things than what you may for in these GMO products? Let's look at a brief discussion from the movie:

Evey Hammond: [takes a bite of the breakfast V cooked] It's delicious! God, I haven't had real butter since I was a little girl! Where did you get it?
V: A government supply train on its way to Chancellor Sutler.
Evey Hammond: You stole this from Chancellor Sutler?
V: Yes.
Evey Hammond: You're insane!

Amazing – that Evey would say to someone they're insane for stealing real butter from the Chancellor yet why does the Chancellor have the right to these products when the rest of the world does not?

Yes – a chancellor may be your master – but Jesus described just how a master should be. Jesus described how the greatest among us all should be.

Matthew 23:10-12 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.   11  But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.   12  And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Essentially – the greatest among you, shall be your servant – the greatest among you will give you what you request. When's the last time the Government gave World Peace? When's the last time the Government stopped world hunger? When's the last time the Government defended you in favour of of a Corporation?

Think of all those examples – did they give it to you? Then – they obviously aren't the greatest. Simple as that – Jesus I tell you does talk some simple stuff, and points us to find the truth. Yet – they exalt themselves – they are better than us, and deserve all this protection, and if we ask for it, we might be considered paranoid. Sounds like double standards to me.

You see – the key here is simple: Double Standards.

Now – when we start using terms like Double Standards – we can essentially start using the words Tyrant, and Tyranny. Yet – I'm sure we're all looking and saying , no I live in a democracy. Really? ReALLY!?!?!

Here's another quote:

Finch: If our own government was responsible for the deaths of almost a hundred thousand people... would you really want to know?

It's interesting that if the government is responsible for something that big – the people let it be – they choose to be sheeple rather than people and accept things for what they are, because somewhere they were hypnotized into believing that this is the way it's always been and it's never going to change.

But the true genius of the plan was the fear. A year later, several extremists are tried, found guilty, and executed while a memorial is built to canonize their victims. Fear became the ultimate tool of this government.
- V

Fear – fear has become the ultimate tool of governments as indicated in the movie. Is this a reality in our world? Start asking yourself questions as to why we need a government – and I'm sure you'll start to notice there are many things – but then ask why you need those many things – and the picture will become quite clear. There is no reason other than for fear.

Propose to someone a world that wouldn't require a government – you'll eventually get someone saying “well then, people will abuse it, or you will get gangs who will form and enslave people” - yet in the next breath these same people will say the Mafia or other gangs control the world, right?

What's the difference? The difference is they're keeping you enslaved by the idea of fear. In one world you're free, the other you're enslaved. In the free world – you wouldn't understand what it would be like, because you've never actually lived in it – you just trust someone's idea who wants to keep you thinking a certain way – FEAR!

In the movie – it was quite interesting. There was a curfew every night to keep the people safe. There were “police workers” who were out monitoring this throughout the night also – and would abuse people(physically or sexually) – if they were out during curfew, because who was going to come and help their fellow man if they're respecting the curfew.

The entire society was a fascist society. If you didn't obey the governments views – you were be taken by the government and eventually killed – and when reported by the media, they would state something totally different than what actually happened, as was given by the government.

Something very interesting about the movie........LIES!
V: Your own father said that artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.

Where did that idea come from? Well V heard it from Evey

Evey Hammond: My father was a writer. You would've liked him. He used to say that artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use them to cover the truth up.

Interesting it still is – this lying bit. I prefer that nobody would lie – but if I had to chose the one form of lying – I would much prefer the method artists use.

Politicians using the media throughout the movie was just plain horrible. It saddens me – because there is so much news on today's media – yet just like you heard throughout this movie, over and over. BOLLOCKS!

What's sad about the media lying – is they state they are giving the facts, because of witnesses, and other stuff. Yet if these things are indeed lies – they it can be easily said that they are bearing false witness.

How there is so much more in this movie – that I could only wish more people would catch onto, grab and take away with it.

I'm a follower of Jesus... - Part III

You know – in Christianity there are a few things that I think are misunderstood – that need to be clarified. Simple things as far as morals and how we should be treating others.

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Some would say this could mean that if you hang out with everybody and are everybody's friend – then it means you're lukewarm and because of this Jesus will spit you out from His mouth.

This is not what's being said here – well it is – but there is some context that goes around it. The context of this comes from the same person who said these words.

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

By tying these passages of scripture we can get a clearer picture of what Jesus is trying to say. One who is lukewarm – we can say will do just about anything and tell everyone that they're free to do anything they want. Which yes – we are free to do as we want.

BUT – Jesus is saying there is a way to life – one that can truly bring peace – and not peace as the world gives – but no only a peace that Jesus can give. That way of life is very narrow – and only by entering the gate can one understand it.

That gate is simple. Jesus said “I am the gate”(John 10:9) – now what Jesus is saying here is we must enter through him to get to this way of life. Now – why? There's one thing where our human nature is flawed – we have such great potential, but we're flawed. The reason we're flawed is because it is easier for us to hate than it is for us to love. Jesus can show one – how to love. That's what the entire gospel(Good News) is about. If one can truly love – then they would not be lukewarm, but rather on FIRE. One who does not love whatsoever and truly hates all – would be considered ICE COLD.

Why would Jesus rather one be HOT or COLD? When we're lukewarm – essentially for some people they're saying they love people and more so perhaps they will openly say “I love God” – but in the next breath they say they hate someone – Jesus would have a word for such a person. Hypocrites!!! Why would he call them hypocrites for this particular example?

I John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

You can only give to people what you have, right?

Example: If someone asked me for $20. I could only give someone $20, if I had $20.

If my brother asks me for love – and I have Jesus(God) and God is love – how can I possibly not give love to my brother?

LIAR! Hypocrite!

There is a way of life. I do believe Jesus taught the way to live life and love one another and through this change the world.

What the verse about HOT, Lukewarm, and COLD is not saying is this: only be supportive of Christians and nobody else; only be supportive of your family and nobody else; only be supportive of yourself and nobody else.

What the verse is saying – is be supportive of everyone. If anyone asks you to help them, help them. Don't be lukewarm and say - only on condition if you help me – or what am I going to get out of it – that is not the gospel taught anywhere within the Bible.

I'm not talking about going to Heaven – or going to Hell. I'm talking about love your neighbour as yourself.

Even the “righteous” Pharisees of Jesus' day didn't know what this meant. Let's examine the passage that explains who your neighbour is also known as the story of the Good Samaritan:

Luke 10:30-32 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

The Levite simply walked by the man. The man needed help. Why did the Levite walk him by? There are a number of speculations as to why – but the most common among Biblical scholars is that the Levite would be deemed “unclean” or would have to break a Mosaic law of some sort. In his mind it was more important to keep the law than to help a man in desperate need of help.

As the story goes – the Samaritan – yes the Samaritan stopped and helped the man. Keep in mind that Samaritans were despised by the Jews – yet the Samaritan stopped to help this man.

This my friends – is where ethics come into play from a Biblical perspective. The Levite was morally correct for what he did as he kept the law – but as we can see laws simply inhibit and tarry the human race from excelling and moving forward.

I'm sure from an ethical perspective – we're hundreds of years behind where we should be – and due to this may even cause us to be scientifically behind where we should be. Because the human race chooses to go with pleasing the law. Pleasing people, pleasing whoever they feel they should be pleasing in order to get ahead in life – rather than just keeping it simple.

For life is meant to be simple – so simple that we should be hot or cold. If we just chose the path of love – our motive for doing things would be different.
We'd go to school, not because we have to go to school or are expected to – we'd go to school because we want to go to school. We wouldn't be going to church because we have to go to church or are expected to go – we'd go because we want to go. We wouldn't help people because we have to help people or are expected to – we'd help people because we want to.

I worry for the generation that follows ours. The baby boomers generation still places some morals onto us. So we do things because we're expected to. Take that generation away – what would happen? So many people lack motivation to do anything – and lack even more motivation to do things that are helpful for others – all because we live in a time where people are more concerned about getting a high score on Battlefield or Call of Duty; people are more concerned about what others think of them; people are more concerned about paying their credit card bill or mortgage payment.

Eliminate all these bills – what do you end up with? A world that is free. People who are free to help one another. If you want to go to Africa to help people then go – you're free to do so. If you want to just stay in your hometown and help everyone in the town with the little jobs or tasks they want help with – then you're free to do so.

Again – it's all very simple – just love one another.

I'm a follower of Jesus... Part II

With some of the feedback I received on my last post – I thought it would be stupid to tardy my next post – some of the feedback actually provided some good ideas, that actually goes along with part of my message.

Essentially – down with the monetary/economic systems that are in play across the globe and replace them with doing things for others out of love – simply because you love your neighbour as yourself.

Now – some will say – what did Jesus say about this?

Well, I could go down the path that talks about him saying sell everything you have and follow me(Matthew 19:21)?

Not today, that’s not where we’re going today.

Down with Economy you say?!?

Matthew 21:12-13 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Jesus cast out everything that people were selling out of the temple of God.  Jesus overthrew the tables of the money changers.  Interesting stuff – I say interesting because it does get better.  There’s more on the topic…..

John 2:13-16  13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

Interesting eh?  Jesus himself – just a man, is able to make a scourge of small cords and use it to whip at people – to cast them out of the temple of God.  Now this in itself was the temple of God – the House of the LORD.

Jesus drove these people out of the Temple.  Jesus overturned the money changers tables – and was he arrested, stoned or scourged for this?  Not at all.

How is it that Jesus can do all these things, and has authority to do these things and make the world RIGHT, and have people loving one another, yet Jesus’ followers can’t do the same.

Sometimes I really truly feel what Mahatma Gandhi said is true:
“I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians.  They are so unlike your Christ.”
 – Mahatma Gandhi

It’s true.  Yes it’s true – and it’s pathetic.  Let’s call ourselves Christians but live in a way that Jesus lived.  Jesus took down the authorities and principalities of the world.  Christians today are scared if they did something that someone would persecute them or something.

Why is it that Jesus can do this?  Well – let’s see….
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Oh right – Jesus is the Light of the World – he has full authority to do all of that.  And we are just His followers – we’re not able to do the things He did.  WOW!  Really?!?!  Talk about the biggest lie that crawled out of HELL to tell you that one.

Jesus said: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14)

Now – what’s interesting about that is – Jesus calls us the light of the world.  We should have the same authority to a degree as Him – so long as we do things the way He did and with the same motive as He had.  What’s great about this Light of the world that we are – is Jesus describes it.  A city on a hill that cannot be hid.  WOAH!  What?

Christians for the most part I would say are hiding.  They don’t want to offend anyone.  They don’t want to get caught up and end up in trouble.

Let me tell you – it’s not about what kind of trouble you’re going to end up in.  It’s about the Revolution you’re going to begin.  Yes – you may end up thrown in jail – but eventually you’ll be let out.  Look at the OT people who were arrested or wanted to be killed and were later let go.
  • ·         Moses
  • ·         Joseph
  • ·         King David
  • ·         Daniel
  • ·         Jeremiah

To name a few.  What did all these people do?  They helped change the World for the better.

Stop for a few minutes and start asking yourself a few questions.  Imagine for a moment – that Jesus never came, and we’re still in the Old Covenant.  We’re living in a world that’s much like it is.

We’re enslaved by the Government, the Banks and other things.  You’re continually paying taxes, or paying your mortgage payment.  You’re always having to pay all this stuff and getting abused and beat up until you pay it back or pay it off.

Jesus comes around – and what does he do – he throws over the government, he throws over the money tables – AND now – yes now, we live in a New Covenant, when we were given this gift – the ability to do the same things and make this a New planet.  A planet where people can truly and freely love everyone and not be enslaved to making that credit card payment or paying your property taxes or who knows what else.

The thing is – you can overthrow it all.  If done for the right reasons – it can be done.  The only person who’s capable of setting us free from this right now is ourselves – and in my view that would mean, that the Kingdom of Heaven is already upon us.

Let us see everyone – that we have the ability to change things.  If you don’t know how – I’d suggest just reading up on what Jesus did – because He did it in a way that was right.  There was no war.  Millions of people didn’t die.  One person died – Jesus died.

How many people have died in the last week due to drone attacks or our militaries being sent in other countries?  Too many.

Let’s be the change!  #ChangeTheWorld

I'm a follower of Jesus... Part I

You know – there are many different type of political and socialist groups and parties and “stuff” in the world – some are similar in a way – yet at the same time different.

Some people would ask what I believe – yet my beliefs are different then most.

I'm not a fan of liberalism – nor capitalism. I'm not a fan of fascism either.

If someone were to ask me what type of government I'd want – I'd tell them I'm an anarchist – but I'm an anarchist for different reasons than most.

The reason for that is this: I'm a Christian. Now – if I'm a Christian, this would mean I'm saying that I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and His teachings. I believe His teachings and if His teachings are true – which He says they are – then all things that go against His teachings are lies.

As Obama once said:
Those are likely the passages Obama was referring to when he said in 2006 that the Sermon on the Mount is "so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application." (http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2009/aprilweb-only/116-51.0.html)

Yes Mr Obama – your own Defense Department wouldn't survive if we tried to live according to the Sermon on the Mount.

How does that passage go?
Matthew 5:43-44  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.   44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Love thine enemy? How does this Industrial Military Complex line up with Love thine enemy?

Military–industrial complex, or military–industrial–congressional complex,[1] is a concept commonly used to refer to policy and monetary relationships between legislators, national armed forces, and the military industrial base that supports them. These relationships include political contributions, political approval for military spending, lobbying to support bureaucracies, and oversight of the industry. It is a type of iron triangle.

Now this is interesting – an iron triangle they called it? Take one of those things down – and you essentially take down everything else attached to it.

Ok – calling me a hippie yet? Sure – go ahead call me one if that's the category you put me in. I believe to be different than that – simply because I don't agree with some of the things that the hippies of the 60's and 70s did. Yet – they were starting a revolution. Everyone things that Revolution ended. The truth is – that was only the introduction. We're at a time when we're approaching that CLIMAX – that climax that will drastically change the world as we know it. What's the problem? There are too many people who hold to political needs.

Oh – the government provides us security, the government provides programs for the poor, the government provides blah blah blah.....

Look how bad the world is. Really stop and look at it. We have people that are starving out there. We have so much debt in this world everywhere that we're at the edge of a near economical collapse. What will that cause?

I'm not going to tell you what that will cause – I'm going to tell you how we can truthfully change the world!

Oh – did I forget about Jesus along the way?

You know – many of my blogs have a certain theme – BUT here's something you need to be aware of – and you probably already are but you ignore the bigger picture. Everyone out there in the world is out to get a profit out of something. Everyone is looking to get an extra dollar here, and an extra dollar there. I don't understand this concept.

Why don't I understand this concept? Well I suppose I do understand it – but I don't believe in it = because I believe in a greater concept – one that no other concept on the face of the planet would stand up against. This concept would be the end of money as you know it and would be a concept of : Love one another.

The problem is – people don't love one another – yes we say we do, but we really don't. I can say this – and here's why I can say this – the evidence is all around you.

Ask someone to do something for you? What type of answers do you get?
Do I have to?
I don't want to.
I don't feel like it
What will I get if I help you?

Oh yes – sometimes you will get an “ok” or “give me a moment” - but there's a reason for that. Selfishness. We're taught to love our neighbour as ourselves – yet if you needed help – I'm sure you don't like having to wait on others – yet why do you make others wait on you? That person' time is just as precious and valuable as yours – why is your time worth more than theirs?

Now granted – yes there are exceptions to this – but you're missing the point. Exceptions should be the exceptions but rather people not loving their neighbours as themselves should be the exceptions!

Now really – if you loved your neighbour as yourself – and they asked you for help. I'm sure you'd get up from whatever you're doing, you'd just go and help them and not worry about anything. Now – why wouldn't you worry about anything? Because let's say for a moment you were at work – or somewhere else – you'd be in the presence of someone who not only loves you – but they'd also care for the person you're going to help, as they too wouldn't want to be caught in that predicament.

The problem here lies with the fact that we're in a society that is so dependent on money, and buying the new and best toys available – that we're losing touch with reality. It was never about buying those new toys. It was never about sitting in front of a TV and playing Video games or watching TV all day long.

This journey we call life was meant to be lived in a way that Jesus did. This is one of His teachings – and this too is a teaching I hold onto.

Well – til next time.
